Tea Time

I make it no secret that I am a big fan of Pique Tea, for frankly innumerable reasons. I need to point out that I am approached by many companies that provide me with samples, etc. and ask me to promote them. Anyone that knows me and my work well knows that I only very rarely actually do so—even where generous affiliate sales are promised. I am a tough customer, and I take my responsibility to those who trust the integrity of what I have to say quite seriously.  I am not willing to be compromising. But when Pique Tea founder, Simon Cheng first contacted me about his company–And I took look at what they were actually doing—I was sold before I even took my first sip.

In their process of creating their unique tea crystals, they super concentrate all of the things/ compounds that are known to be beneficial about tea–while ensuring a level of quality and purity unmatched by any other tea company. Every batch is tested for all manners of potential contaminants, and no toxic/plastic tea bags are used at all. Nobody else does this! That said, once I actually tried their teas, I was simply blown away by the superb and sophisticated flavor. And for someone like me that travels as much as I do, I have never found a better way to take my favorite tees with me on the road. All I do is empty the tea crystals from there individually packaged ampules into a cup, add hot water, and BAM. No steeping, no waiting… And a perfect, sublime cup of tea every single time.

Well, they just gave me one more (actually, two more) reasons to promote them as the world’s foremost supplier of the best quality and verifiably healthy tea money can buy.

If you have never heard of Pu’er tea, then you really need to know about it. In China, it is the most sought after of all four it’s extraordinary and unique health benefits. The process of making it is ancient, and involves a very careful process of fermentation that yields so many of its unique and beneficial qualities.  I used to be a fan of Pu’er many years ago, but became extremely concerned about the plethora of contaminants coming out of China (along with Japan and elsewhere, for that matter) and stopped drinking it. I simply could not find a tea company I truly trusted to provide me with the quality of tea I wanted without some pretty significant potential compromises I was unwilling to make. Pique Tea has finally giving me a source Quality tea—and uniquely, Pu’er–that I can trust. They supply it in both its raw/green and black-forms… Each of which has its own unique flavor and health promoting characteristics.

Since the people at Pique Tea are really the best-qualified experts in the world to talk about tea in general (and Pu’er in particular), I’d like to urge you to go to their website and check out their teas and articles.

I offer my heartfelt thanks to Simon, Alyssa, Amanda and Jessica at Pique Tea for their integrity and for all they do.

Thank you for this! I’m a big fan of tea and I have even gone way out of my way to buy Organic Sikkim tea (a state in India that’s entirely organic). I’ll definitely try this.
