VITAMIN K FACTS AND FALLACIES
WITH
DR. SYLVIA ONUSIC
PART 2
Sylvia P. Onusic, PhD, CNS, LDN Nutrition and Public Health
Shove over vitamin D3! Vitamin K2 has become the new, undisputed rock star of the nutraceutical world. It seems that everywhere you turn nowadays new supplements are coming out on the market claiming to supply this extremely critical nutrient for your brain and nervous system, your heart and cardiovascular system, as well as so many other organs and tissues. Vegans claim that they can get their vitamin K from green leafy vegetables… But is vitamin K1 the biological equivalent of vitamin K2? Can the human body convert vitamin K1 into vitamin K2? How many forms of vitamin K are there, and which ones are truly essential for our health? This doesn’t even scratch the surface of what you will learn both this week and next when I talk with the world’s foremost expert on this subject, Dr. Sylvia Onusic. Prepared to be blown away by everything you are going to learn this in this video. Never before has anyone taken a deeper dive and done more to debunk some of the most popular information on this topic. This time, we will pick up right where we left off from part 1 and really blow your mind with more of Sylvia's deep expertise on this subject. You'll be riveted by what you hear!

Shortly after this interview, Dr. Sylvia Onusic contacted me to say she did in fact just find the online reference in Masterjohn’s article to Japanese researcher, Michael Eiseike (who was the actual discoverer of the link between Price’s X-Factor and vitamin K2).  Sylvia, herself is the researcher that honed this link down to MK-4. It wasn’t at the end of the article, as was the case in the print version, but instead after the section labeled “Vitamin K2 in Foods.”  It reads: "Thank you to Michael Eiseike, a health researcher from Hokkaido Japan, for originally bringing the Rotterdam Study to our attention and suggesting that vitamin K2 may be the X Factor of Weston Price; and also to David Wetzel of Green Pasture Products for his input and advice.

Here is the link to Masterjohn’s article in the WAPF Journal
